Anna McMorrin MP: Guide Dog Cymru Blindfolded Walk

January 19, 2018

On Friday morning, I was joined by Guide Dogs Cymru for a blindfolded walk in Llanishen village. We started outside Selah Café and I walked up and down the high street with the eye cover and white stick, trying to avoid obstacles and traffic. It was good to hear from Clare and Sian about their experiences, and they highlighted the problems they encounter in their area such as pavement parking, overhanging branches and the lack of tactile paving. Thank you to Cardiff North resident Sian Healey, and her guide dog Uri, for coming to see me at my coffee morning last year to raise these issues. And thank you to the Guide Dog team for taking the time to organise the challenge!
